After studying visual arts, François Vautier became a contemporary art broker. He then moved into audiovisual design, working for Arte with Guy Saguez. They went on to work together for many years on television channels. He founded a collective with Raphaël Nadjari, with whom he produced a large number of sets (France 2, France 3, TF1, la Cinquième, ARTE, Universal, etc.). His passion for images led him to pursue his research in Audiovisual Design. He develops new shooting processes in virtual studios.
Constantly on the lookout for new processes, in 2016 he directed "I SAW THE FUTURE", a stereoscopic VR film produced by Da Prod, presented in the official selection at the Venice Film Festival in 2017, and broadcast on the ARTE VR 360 platform and on ARTE for the 2D version. In 2019, he directed "ODYSSEY 1.4.9", a VR tribute to Stanley Kubrick's masterpiece, and designing the CNES pavilion for the Salon International d'Aeronautique et de l'Espace, where he will also be presenting a hologram adaptation of the film "I Saw The Future". François Vautier worked on 2 other VR films with Da Prod: "BETA AQUARII", an extraordinary journey from interstellar space to the depths of the abyss, and "INVERTED", a live-action film featuring the adventures of an intergalactic team.
